Run for Something endorses Josh Walker for Mayor
February 15, 2019 – Josh Walker is proud to receive the endorsement of Run for Something (RFS), the groundbreaking organization that recruits and supports strong voices in the next generation of local leadership.
“I’m honored to have the support of a national organization like Run For Something. The support of RFS will go a long way helping my campaign reach supporters and voters in this race,” said Josh Walker. “We’re bringing a new voice and energy to the community of Plymouth, and I’m excited to have RFS on my side as we head into the election in November.”
“RFS endorses candidates on two major criteria: heart and hustle. That’s what defines viability to us,” said Ross Morales Rocketto, RFS co-founder. “These are candidates who are going to work hard to run grassroots, community-led campaigns. We are a critical time in history and the momentum these candidates generate will have a lasting impact for years to come.”
By the numbers:
33 first or second-time candidates endorsed this month
RFS has endorsed 701 candidates total
Campaign budgets range from $3000 to $300,000
Win numbers range from 645 to 100,000 votes
The RFS endorsement process includes an extensive internal review with a background check, staff interview, and insight from local state experts.
Election day is Tuesday, November 6, 2019. Residents can register to vote, check their registration status, or find their polling place by visiting https://indianavoters.in.gov/.
